Trinidad and Tobago has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code. The Children Act, 2012 (Act No. 12 of 2012, Chap. 46:01), proclaimed on 18 May 2015, defines a child as a person under eighteen and sets rules on evidence, custody, and offences against children, but it contains no reference to the internet, an online service, or social media.

The Sexual Offences Act, Chap. 11:28, as consolidated to 2012, addresses offences against children directly but imposes no age-verification or age-gating duty on a service provider; its later amendments are not described here.

In mid-2026 the Prime Minister told Parliament that legislation to regulate social media use by children under twelve was among the Government's legislative agenda for the current parliamentary session, but no bill on the subject had been laid before Parliament as of the date below.
