Chad has not enacted an adult-content age-verification law, a social-media minor-access restriction, an app-store age-verification requirement, or an age-appropriate design code.

The Code Pénal du Tchad (2017) criminalizes child pornography generally, punishing by one to four years' imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 to 500,000 FCFA the production, distribution, importation, exportation, offering, possession, or other dealing in material depicting a child in explicit sexual activity (art. 362), and separately punishes by one to five years and a fine of 25,000 to 1,000,000 FCFA whoever excites, favors, or facilitates the debauchery of a person who has not yet reached civil majority (art. 363).

Its cybercrime chapter, which absorbs the substance of Loi n°009/PR/2015, punishes producing, distributing, procuring, importing, exporting, or intentionally possessing child pornography by means of a computer system by one to five years and a fine of 1,000,000 to 10,000,000 FCFA (art. 443 to 445), and the same penalty reaches whoever facilitates a minor's access to a pornographic image, document, sound, or representation (art. 445, second paragraph).

Article 446 separately punishes proposing a meeting to a minor child through a communication technology with intent to commit one of those offenses, aggravated to five to ten years and a fine of 2,000,000 to 20,000,000 FCFA where the proposal is followed by an actual meeting.

Each of these provisions addresses the criminality of producing, distributing, possessing, or facilitating access to prohibited content, or of soliciting a minor, rather than imposing an age-verification, age-estimation, or age-gating duty that conditions a service's access on a user's age.

No other located Chadian statute, including the data-protection law (Loi n°007/PR/2015), the electronic-transactions law (Loi n°008/PR/2015), the cybersecurity-agency law (Loi n°006/PR/2015), or the copyright law (Loi n°005/PR/2003), establishes such a duty either. No numbered bill, Journal Officiel citation, or public draft text proposing an age-verification or age-appropriate design regime was located.
