National jurisdiction · as of 2026-09-07

Mozambique has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code.

The Law on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child (Lei n.ยบ 7/2008, de 9 de Julho) criminalises using a child in prostitution or other unlawful sexual practices, exploiting a child in pornographic performances or material, and using a child in acts of paedophilia, and directs that rigorous sanctions be legislated against anyone who incites, coerces, abuses, uses, or exploits a child in those ways.

These are duties addressed to whoever exploits a child, not an age-verification or age-gating duty on an online or on-demand service, and the Law contains no provision on internet access, media classification, or cinema or broadcast admission by age.
