Lebanon
Lebanon has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code.
Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data repealed and replaced the Penal Code's offences against public morality with new provisions criminalizing the exploitation of minors for purposes of pornography, including photographing, producing, delivering, distributing, or holding such material, and lets the court hearing the case or the Public Prosecution order the suspension of electronic services, the blocking of a website, or the freezing of an account associated with the offence.
Neither provision imposes an age-verification or age-gating duty on a service provider: the exploitation offence binds the person who produces or distributes the material, and the blocking power runs to the court and the Public Prosecution rather than to the platform carrying it.
Instruments on record
No age-gating law in force on record as of 2026-09-06.
