Jordan
Jordan has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code. The Child Rights Law No. 17 of 2022 sets a general framework of protection duties running to the State and named public bodies, and does not address a private online service.
The Cybercrime Law No. 17 of 2023 bans the production, possession, and circulation of real, virtual, and simulated depictions of a minor, a criminal prohibition binding any person rather than a duty on a service to verify a user's age or restrict a minor's access. The Press and Publications Law No. 8 of 1998 licenses print and broadcast press outlets and carries no minor-access or age-verification provision.
The Audiovisual Media Law No. 26 of 2015 licenses television and radio broadcast stations and the production and circulation of recorded audiovisual works, and lets the Media Commission order a broadcast halted where it carries pornographic material, but the law's definitions are confined to broadcast transmission and recorded works, do not reach an internet or on-demand audiovisual service, and impose no age-verification or age-classification duty on a licensee.
The Digital Media Regulation No. 13 of 2026 licenses digital media outlets, professional digital content creators, and mixed broadcast-and-publishing activity, and binds a licensee to intellectual-property, incitement, and AI-content-disclosure duties, but its licensing and content articles name no age threshold, no age-verification method, and no minor-access restriction.
