National jurisdiction · as of 2026-09-06

Israel has no adult-content age-verification statute, no social-media minor-access restriction, no app-store age-verification requirement, and no age-appropriate design code.

The Penal Law, 5737-1977, section 214 criminalizes producing, publishing, presenting, or organizing an obscene publication, with an enhanced offence where the material depicts a minor, but this is a general criminal prohibition running to the state's prosecuting authority rather than a duty on a service provider to verify a user's age or gate access by age.

Secondary reporting describes a Communications Law amendment and further minors' social-media bills moving in 2026, but the primary legislative text for either has not been located, so no instrument is recorded for them here.
