Cabo Verde has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code.

Lei n.º 50/VIII/2013, de 26 de Dezembro de 2013 (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente), Article 53(4), places on the State a duty to supervise content transmitted to children and adolescents by media and internet sites so that it suits their age group, and Article 53(5) confines radio and television broadcasters to airing educational, artistic, cultural, or informative programs during hours recommended for a child or youth audience; neither paragraph addresses an age-verification or access-control duty on an online service, app store, or social platform.

Lei n.º 57/V/98, de 28 de Abril de 1998 (Lei da Televisão), Article 28(3)-(4), requires that a program liable to negatively influence the character formation of children or adolescents, or to disturb other particularly vulnerable viewers through violent or shocking scenes, be preceded by an explicit warning, carry an appropriate label, and air only during night hours (after 10 p.m.), a content-labelling and scheduling duty rather than an age-verification duty on a distributor or platform.

Decree-Law No. 10/93 of June 29, 1993 (Governing the Exercise of the Broadcasting Activity), Article 9(4), states more simply that broadcasting a program liable to negatively influence the character formation of children or adolescents is not permitted, a blanket content prohibition with no verification, labelling, or scheduling mechanism.

Lei n.º 56/V/98, de 29 de Junho de 1998 (Lei da Comunicação Social), Article 13, limits freedom of information and expression by the protection of childhood and youth among other listed interests, barring media from publishing news or information that violates those limits, a general content restriction addressed to publishers rather than a duty to verify or gate a user's age.
