Québec has no enacted adult-content age-verification law, social-media minimum-age rule, app-store or device age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code.
The one Québec provision located whose duty turns on a child's age and reaches online services is section 248 of the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c P-40.1), which bars commercial advertising directed at persons under thirteen, with exemptions set by regulation, and it has an entry of its own; the consolidated text of the Act and the regulation print no commencement day for it.
The Cinema Act (CQLR c C-18.1) bars admitting a person to the public exhibition of a film, and selling, leasing or lending video material in a video material retail outlet, by the film's classification of 13 and over, 16 and over or 18 and over. The consent of a minor under 14 to the use of personal information is a rule of the private-sector personal information Act and is held with that Act's privacy entries.
No Québec law on social media, screens or age verification for minors enacted in the 43rd Legislature has been located; that Legislature ended on August 27, 2026 when the Assemblée nationale was dissolved. The federal proposals on young persons' online access to pornographic material and on social media are described in Canada's national entry.

Instruments on record
Consumer Protection Act, commercial advertising directed at persons under thirteen
In force
CQLR c P-40.1, ss. 248-249
Applies to both
No person may make use of commercial advertising directed at persons under thirteen years of age, subject to what the regulations provide. Whether an advertisement is directed at persons under thirteen is judged by the context of its presentation, in particular the nature and intended purpose of the goods advertised, the manner of presenting the advertisement and the time and place it is shown.
That an advertisement appears in printed matter or on air time intended for persons thirteen and over, or for both age groups, creates no presumption that it is not directed at persons under thirteen. The regulations exempt an advertisement that appears in a children's magazine or insert for sale and published at intervals of not more than three months, on conditions.
They also exempt an advertisement announcing a programme or show directed at children, and one on a store window, display, container, wrapping or label, on conditions. Contravening section 248 is an offence under section 278 of the Act.
