Brunei has no adult-content age-verification law, social-media minor-access restriction, app-store age-verification requirement, or age-appropriate design code.

Section 293 of the Penal Code (Cap. 22) makes it an offence to sell, let to hire, distribute, exhibit, or circulate an obscene article, as defined in section 292, to a person under the age of 20 years, carrying a fine of not less than $1,000 and not more than $10,000 and imprisonment of up to 3 years, rising on a second or subsequent conviction to a fine of not less than $3,000 and not more than $50,000 and imprisonment of up to 5 years.

The section is a general prohibition on the transaction itself, tied to the recipient's age at the time of sale or distribution, and does not impose an age-verification or age-gating duty on an online service. No other Brunei statute or reported case addresses age verification, age gating, or a design duty for an online service, app store, or social-media platform.
